Beirut Blast: U/S David Hale calls for credible probe

BEIRUT: While FBI investigators are reaching Lebanon, US Under Secretary for Political Affairs David Hale called today (15th of August) for a transparent and credible probe into the enormous blast at the  port here.
Touring the site of explosion David Hale stated: “We need to make sure there is a thorough and transparent, credible investigation…We can never go back to an era in which anything goes at the port or the borders of Lebanon.
“Every state, every sovereign state, controls its ports and its borders thoroughly…I imagine all Lebanese would like… not to have the anything goes atmosphere. The FBI is arriving this weekend and they will be playing their role at the invitation of the Lebanese.”
It is pertinent to mention here that FBI personnel will be joining other experts from France and other countries who have already commenced the probe to figure out exactly what caused the explosion. | YouTube Channel
