Big B considers Hollywood as a threat for Bollywood

AIMAN INAM

MUMBAI: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan,  the Shahenshah of Indian movie market,  reckons Hollywood is going to become a tremendous warning sign to the Bollywood film industry.

Sources here have reported that the 73-year-old actor has lately given an interview to a known newspaper, in which he said: “Wherever Hollywood industry has gone, it has destroyed the local film industry.”

Apropos this, he further maintained: “We have to fight them. This is competition. We know that Hollywood is very powerful. Wherever it has gone, it has destroyed the local film industry. Be it United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain or Japan, everywhere they go they just take over and that’s what is happening here. So we have to fight. Competition is good.”
