Bill Gates visits Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: During his first ever visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, called on the PM here on Thursday (17th of February, 2022). 

Commenting on the visit of Bill Gates, Senator Faisal Javed Khan took to the Twitter to state: “Bill Gates meets Prime Minister Imran Khan during his first-ever Pakistan visit. Discussion regarding polio eradication, performance of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) and Ehsaas program took place”.

Asad Umar, Federal Minister of Planning Development & Special Initiatives, tweeted: “Hosted Bill Gates at the NCOC this morning. Shared with him the work which has been done for covid response in Pakistan and the role played by NCOC. Thanked him for the support provided by the Gates Foundation. He was appreciative of the covid response effort in Pakistan”. 

NCOC stated: “Mr Gates took a keen interest in various initiatives of the NCOC, particularly smart lockdown, micro smart lockdown strategy enforcement measures, Pakistan’s vaccine administration regime which enabled the forum to formulate and implement a comprehensive coronavirus response.” | YouTube Channel
