Bitcoin: Suspect nabbed for Rs 3b fraud

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency cyber crime wing on Friday arrested a suspect involved in bitcoin fraud worth rupees three billion from Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
According to the FIA official, the suspect had been involved in duping around 17,000 citizens. He said that the FIA has initiated a crackdown against the suspects involved in online currency fraud and added that four accomplices of the suspect have been arrested so far.
The suspects have been identified as Hasan, Mehran, Nasir Dar, and Hasan Abbas and recovering four mobile phones and four laptops from their possession. The FIA cybercrime circle in charge Mohammad Usman initiated action upon the project director’s instructions.
