Balochistan: Blast in a Killi Qasim Kuchlak Madrassa claims 5 lives

QUETTA: As a result of an explosion carried out by means of a remote controlled IED during Jumma prayers in a Madrassa (Seminary) situated in the Killi Qasim Kuchlak area, five people died and twenty others wounded.

Twenty wounded are presently being given medical treatment at Civil Hospital here.

According to sources IED was planted inside the Madrassa and the walls and ceiling of the seminary have been badly damaged due to explosion. 


National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri have expressed grief over the loss of precious lives in the blast.
In their messages of condolence, they prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss with fortitude.
They said the incident was a cowardly act of terror and those, who attacked mosques, were the worst enemies of humanity.
The attack was an attempt to sabotage peace in the country, they said adding the whole nation was united against terrorism and all efforts would be made to root out the menace from the country. They prayed for the early recovery of the injured.

Minister for Interior Ijaz Ahmad Shah also strongly condemned the Quetta blast and expressed grief over the loss of precious lives. The minister sympathized with bereaved families, and prayed for the departed souls and early recovery of the injured.
