KARACHI: Pundits at the helm of affairs have observed that announcement of the date of the Panamagate verdict had rejuvenated the bourse here that closed today at 47,716 points.

Rs. 11.98 billion worth of 265.68 million shares were traded today while the total share volume augmented to 265.68 million worth Rs. 15.28 billion.

Of the number 364 companies that traded today 18 remained unchanged, 137 declined and the remaining advanced. 

364 symbols were traded on Wednesday, of which 209 advanced, 137 declined and 18 remained unchanged.

Top five volume leaders are: K-Electric Ltd: 22.41m shares (+3pc), TRG Pak Ltd 20m shares (+2.14pc), Engro Polymer 17.13m shares (2.23pc), Bank of Punjab: 11.89m shares (1.82pc), Aisha Steel Mill: 11.54m shares (-0.82pc).
