ISLAMABAD: British High Commissioner (HC) to Pakistan Jane Marriott, called on President Asif Ali Zardari here on Thursday (28th March, 2024).
During the rendezvous President Zardari emphasized on further ameliorating the trade and economic ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom for mutual benefit.
President Zardari stated that one of the top priorities of the incumbent government was stabilization of economy with a key focus on employment generation and poverty alleviation.
Highlighting climate change as a serious challenge to Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari informed the High Commissioner that Sindh harbored mangrove forests over 14,82,633 acres which supported the coastal ecosystem and contributed to sustainability of the environment.
