LONDON: UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that the government was planning to start easing lockdown restrictions in the country, a day after Britain became the worst-hit European state with over 32,000 deaths due to coronavirus.
According to global rankings, the United Kingdom overtook Italy to become the country with most deaths related to COVID-19 after the United States.
“We’ll want if we possibly can to get going with some of these measures on Monday. I think it would be a good thing if people had an idea of what is coming,” Johnson said while speaking in parliament for the first time after recovering from coronavirus.

The 55-year-old PM of UK Boris Johnson has left hospital here today after recovering from COVID-19.
Boris Johnson, who had spent three days in ICU of the state-run-hospital, has been advised not be immediately return to work. It is yet not known how how quickly he will be able to attend office, with FS Dominic Raab presently deputizing for him.
