Bulls rule the bourse: KSE-100 index gains 1085 points

KARACHI: Week’s first day’s session was bullish with KSE-100 index rising 2.18 percent, the bourse closed at 50,935.

Rs. 16.5 billion worth of 145 million shares were traded. Of 410 companies that traded, stocks of 20 remained unchanged, 135 declined and the remaining gained in value.

Volumes were led by commercial banking stocks with top leaders being: Engro Polymer, 35m shares (-0.74pc); Bank of Punjab, 18.3m shares (+3.20pc); Aisha Steel Mills, 17.4m shares (+4.98pc); Bank Al-Falah, 12.7m shares (+5.00pc); TRG Pak Ltd: 10.7m shares (+0.61pc).
