BUTTER CHICKEN (RAMAZAN SPECIAL BY CUISINE EXPERT AMBER INAM)

Ingredients

½-kg boneless Chicken (cut into pieces)

1 Onion (chopped)

1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic paste

1 tsp Cumin

1 tbsp Red Chili powder

½- tbsp All Spices powder

A pinch of Turmeric powder

½-cup Yogurt

2 tbsps Cream

1 tbsp Lemon Juice

2 tbsps Butter

2 tbsps Oil

Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method

  • Add yogurt, salt, all spices, red chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger and garlic paste in a bowl and mix it well. Add chicken into it and marinate the mixture for 2 hours.

  • Heat oil and butter in a pan and add cumin into it. Once it leaves the aroma, add onion into it. When the onion turns into light brown in color, add chicken into it.

  • Stir the mixture for 10 minutes on high flame. Then add lemon juice and cover the lid. Let it cook for 10 more minutes on low flame. Then add 1 tbsp of cream into it and switch off the stove.

  • Top with coriander and the remaining cream. Serve with naan!
