Can Meditation contain Alzheimer?

AIMAN INAM

LOS ANGELES: Following an extensive research conducted here recently scientists stated that practicing yoga and meditation on a regular basis could be an easy, secure and inexpensive way to contain Alzheimer.

Via research scientists also discovered that doing a three-month course of Kundalini yoga and Kirtan Kriya meditation stopped diminishing cognitive and emotional troubles. That causes memory failure and further sorts of dementia.

Kirtan Kriya is a form of meditation, which has been experienced for hundreds of years in India in order to avoid cognitive decline in oldies. It consists of chanting, hand movements and visualization of light.

The study demonstrated that yoga and meditation have proved to be more effectual as compared to the memory augmentation workouts.

The lead study author from University of California, Professor Helen Lavretsky held: “Memory training was comparable to yoga with meditation in terms of improving memory. But yoga provided a broader benefit than memory training because it also helped with mood, anxiety and coping skills.”

Another researcher Harris Eyre, doctoral candidate from University of Adelaide in Australia maintained, “Historically and anecdotally, yoga has been thought to be beneficial in ageing well, but this is the scientific demonstration of that benefit.”

He further noted, “We’re converting historical wisdom into the high level of evidence required for doctors to recommend therapy to their patients.”

The conclusion was drawn in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, following the analysis of 25 volunteers aged up to 55.
