Central Jail : Dangerous inmate escapes despite tight security

KARACHI: Despite ‘fool-proof’ security a hardened prisoner Abdul Hafeez imprisoned on the charges of murder u/s 302 managed to escape from Central Jail Karachi on Monday.

Talking exclusively to NewsPakistan.TV Inspector General Prisons Nusrat Hussain Mangan told that as part of his sentence Abdul Hafeez was sent to work in the colony duly shackled (danda-bairee). He managed to escape from there.

IG further told that the concerned officials have been arrested on charges of neglect.

Earlier on the instruction of the concerned Minister Central Jail’s SSP Murtuza Sheikh has also been suspended.
