PARIS: French authorities, that had earlier detained 25-year-old Zaheer Hassan Mahmoud on terror charges for attacking the ex-office of Charlie Hebdo, has arrested four more people of Pakistani origin for having links with him.

It is pertinent to mention here that in the month of September, 2020 Zaheer Hassan Mahmoud had wounded two people using a meat  cleaver outside the former offices of weekly Charlie Hebdo.

According to details the four were taken into custody on Monday and one was already charged on Wednesday with taking part in a terrorist conspiracy. The three others are being produced before a judge. It has been alleged that they not only knew about the plot but incited the attacker to commit the crime.
