Chemical Stocks attract most interest as PSX closes at 49,754.72 points

KARACHI: At the closure of session today KSE-100 index had shown a gain of 0.61 percent (302 points).

A day ago decline in market participation was reported as a result of SECP’s augmentation of monitoring.

Rs. 12.36 billion worth of 245.07 million shares were traded. 206 companies’ shared gained, 159 declined, 21 remained unchanged.

Top ranking companies in today’s session were: Lotte Chemical: 28.33m shares (-4.15pc); Aisha Steel Mill: 15.39m shares (+4.26pc); Sui South Gas: 15.15m shares (+3.38pc); K-Electric Ltd.: 12.76m shares (-0.20pc); Azgard Nine: 12.3m shares (+0.74pc).
