China desires to take relationship with Pakistan to new heights: Xi Jinping




BEIJING (JAN 04, 2017): China wants to take existing bilateral relationship with its long-time friend Pakistan to new heights, says Chinese President Xi Jinping.

He said this in a message to his Pakistani counterpart, President Mamnoon Hussain on his birthday.

Pakistan and China are not only reliable friends but also strategic partners,” Xi said, adding that China values its friendship with Pakistan.

President Mamnoon Hussain praised the role of Chinese president in bringing the relationship between two countries more close.

International investors showing keen interest for investing in Pakistan

Meanwhile, President Mamnoon said that international investors are now showing keen interest for investing in the country which is a manifestation of our successful economic policies and investor friendly environment.

He said that agreement on 300 MW power project has been signed and it will be started soon. The president further said that China has agreed to consider and examine Indus Cascade projects in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
