China expressed full support to Pakistan on Kashmir: FO Spokesperson

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal, during a weekly press briefing, has said that Chinese leadership expressed full support to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Indian occupied Kashmir conflict.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan has been raising Kashmir matter on every forum so that the international community can play their due role in resolving the dispute,” he said.

Responding to a question on Kartarpur Corridor, Dr Faisal said that the corridor will be opened on the decided time whereas former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been formally invited to attend the inaugural ceremony.

To another question regarding PM Imran Khan’s upcoming visits to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Islamic Republic of Iran, the spokesperson said that the official announcement and the schedule of the premier’s visits will be announced soon.

He further said that the authorities are reviewing matters related to South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) session, adding that Pakistan is not ready to join arm race.
