KARACHI: Though suggestion apropos deploying Chinese troops inside Pakistan to ensure security of its thousands of engineers and other helping staff, was declined earlier, Beijing is pushing the idea with more seriousness.

Pakistan with all its paraphernalia repeatedly failed to contain the menace of terrorism, particularly attacks targeting foreigners associated with CPEC projects. After the recent Karachi Airport and SITE Textile Mills attacks, concerned authorities at Beijing have formally written a letter to the GoP reminding it about their proposal of troops deployment inside Pakistan.
