Chris Gayle wants to entertain Pakistani fans in PSL 2

DUBAI: West Indies six-hitting machine Chris Gayle says that he is very excited to be a part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) a second time and says that he wants to entertain his Pakistani fans with his sixes.

“I just want to say, I love you all and thanks for the support. Chris Gayle will try and entertain you guys as much as possible and keep hitting sixes, and make you all happy at the end of the day,” Gayle said in an interview.

The heavy hitter batsman said he was happy to be drafted by the Karachi Kings for PSL2 and will do his part to ensure the team performs well after the Kings put on a disappointing show in the first season of the PSL.

“It’s fantastic to be a part of the PSL a second time,” he said.

Gayle also praised the Pakistani cricket fans for their support and their role in making the PSL successful.

“I appreciate your support… You’ve been with us through thick and thin,” he said.

Earlier during a press conference on Wednesday, Gayle thanked Shoaib Malik and the Karachi Kings for drafting him.

“The Kings look like a balanced team,” he said, “They would perform better this time around.”

Gayle added that as his performance in Tests and One-Day Internationals was equally good, he did not want to be known just as a T20 king.
