Christmas 2016: This year keep your kids safe while rejoicing Christmas!

AIMAN INAM

KARACHI: With the advent of Christmas, stuff used to decorate houses and streets has also invaded the bazaars. Lights & other eye-catching decorative ornaments appear attractive and aesthetic to everyone, particularly kids!

However, parents should be cautious apropos their young ones as they could consume such things as well. Homes must NOT be adorned by means of pointed or fragile beautifications.

Children could ingest or breathe-in tiny or detachable parts from adornments as most of those resemble food or candy. Eating such hazardous  thing could prove fatal.

People also opt for plants such as mistletoe berries, Jerusalem cherry and holly berry  to decorate their houses but such plants are lethal that could pose a severe hazard to the little ones.

Following are some of the guidelines by which you could keep your kids off any detrimental exposures:

  • Pick out non-flammable decorations stuff. Nevertheless, keep those out of reach of children.

  • Individuals also place candles at different spots of their homes. Do not ignite candles near a Christmas tree and keep an eye on the kids.

  • Spun glass, which is also knows as angel hair, can exasperate the eyes and skin. Make sure to put on gloves while using this substance. Synthetic snow sprays could penetrate into the lungs of the young ones.

  • Keep your house clean as soon as the party is over as children could imbibe small parts of papers, bags, ribbons and bows.

  • Do not let your kids roam around on the roads and streets as they could get themselves hurt by fireworks.
