LONDON: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Tuesday evening arrived here on week-long funds raising campaign for the building of dams in Pakistan.
During his stay in the United Kingdom (UK), the CJP would attend a number of functions organized by Pakistani the community here for raising of funds for the construction of the Diamer Basha and Mohmand dams to resolve future water crisis in the country. Talking to media, the CJP said that he came here to attend the graduation ceremony of his son. The British Pakistani friends have also organized fund-raising events in which he would also participate. He added that building dams in Pakistan has become a campaign within and outside Pakistan and this mission would be completed for the interest of Pakistan.
It may be mentioned here that Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar have established “Diamer Basha and Mohmand Dams Fund 2018” for the collection of donations from Pakistani Diaspora including British Pakistanis. In this connection, CJP will be the chief guest at Gala Dinner on November 22, at Royal Nawab Hotel Hoover Building 7 Western Ave London. Similarly, the CJP will be the chief guest at gala dinner hosted by the Center for Policy Dimension at Intercontinental Hotel London on November 25.
Likewise, he will also chief guest at a fund-raising function for Diamer Basha Dam and Mohmand dam on November 26 Holiday Inn Bloomsbury, London. The function is being organized by World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis(WCOP). The CJP will also visit other cities of UK and participate in fund-raising activities of British Pakistanis.
