CJP bars media from featuring pictures of political leaders on Govt. advts.

ISLAMABAD:  CJP, while terming it pre-poll rigging, has ruled today that (electronic and print) Media will not be allowed to feature pictures of political leaders in advertisements paid by the Government.

CJP bars maintaining that people’s hard-earned money would no longer be allowed for grandiose displays on streets and alleys ruled: “The use of pictures in government ads on TV or in print is henceforth prohibited by the court”.

It is pertinent to mention here that APNS has maintained that it would accept the court’s ruling taken according to the law.
