CM expressed grief over great loss of lives in Lasbela accident

ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan expressed on Tuesday grief over the great loss of lives in an incident of Lasbela last night (Monday night) and directed the local administration to immediately provide medical assistance to the injured and transfer them to Karachi for further treatment.

He directed the administration to complete the investigation and submit the report of the incident, rescue sources on a private news channel told.

Lasbela Deputy Commission Shabbir Mengal and Levies personnel also visited the scene.

As many as 23 people were killed and 27 injured in a fire that erupted after a collision between a coach and truck late Monday night in Balochistan’s Bela, Lasbela.

The deadly mishap occurred near Bella where the bus caught fire soon after smashing into the truck, killing 23 persons including women and children on the spot.

The bus was on its way to Panjgur from Karachi.
