HARNAI (Balochistan): Tragedy struck the hapless coal miners second time in a week here when a blast devoured seven of them on Monday night.

Since the mine-owners opt to save money by not upgrading the infrastructure making them relatively safe for the workers, accidents keep on devouring the lives of coal miners.

This time the deadly explosion was caused due to a build-up of methane gas. Rescue teams managed to recover all the seven bodies.

It is pertinent to mention here that on Friday 12th of March, six miners working at the depth of 1,000 feet in the district of Marwar (near the border with Afghanistan), died when a buildup of methane gas exploded.
