COAS chairs Apex Committee meeting in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Saturday chaired a high ranked meeting of Apex Committee in Corps Headquarters Peshawar.

During the meeting, the army chief was briefed about the ongoing military operation in tribal areas and targeted actions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

KP Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak, Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, and Peshawar Corps Commander Lt-Gen Hidayat Ur Rehman were present in the meeting.

According to an ISPR spokesperson, the meeting reviewed ongoing intelligence based operations and implementation of counter-terrorism National Action Plan (NAP) in the province.
