COAS instructs Corps Cdr. to investigate Karachi Incident

ISLAMABAD: Taking notice of the COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa has taken notice of and ordered an immediate inquiry into the Karachi incident, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

COAS has instructed the Corps Cmdr. to immediately inquire into circumstances to determine the facts and report back ASAP. ISPR’s statement appeared, sans specifying the ‘Karachi Incident’, after Bilawal Bhutto’s Presser in which he called on the institutions to probe the matter of arrest of Capt. (R) Safdar.

It is pertinent to mention here that the top brass of Sindh Police (including the IGP) citing humiliation have opted to go on leave. Bilawal asked: “Who were the people who surrounded” the Sindh police chief’s house in the early hours of Monday and took him to an unspecified location before Safdar was arrested”?

Bilawal also asked who were the two people who went inside the IG’s house and where they took him at 4AM?
