COAS was offered an extension in March (2022): DG ISI

RAWALPINDI: DG ISI Lt. Gen Nadeem Anjum, while talking to journalists at a Presser held here on Thursday (27th of October, 2022), informed that those in power (i.e former PM Imran Khan) had offered an unlimited extension to the COAS Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa in the month of March (2022).

Lt. Gen. Nadeem Anjum said that the armed forces were termed as neutral and an animal as they refused to be part of an illegal decision. DG ISI Lt. Gen Nadeem Anjum said it was not possible that Imran Khan meets COAS in the night and call him a traitor in the day (for refusing to do illegal job).

DG ISI Gen. Nadeem Anjum asked Imran Khan if the Commander-in-Chief was a traitor then why he met him clandestinely. It is pertinent to mention here that it was his first appearance before the Media. Deciphering the move he said that he appeared before the Media to clarify the position of his institution.
