WASHINGTON: COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa, while speaking at a reception held at Pakistan Diplomatic Mission here on Wednesday (5th of October, 2022) has stated that the Armed Forces had distanced itself from politics and wanted to stay out of it in the future too.

The COAS made it clear that he would cease to be the Army Chief after the completion of his tenure in the month of November, 2022.

Maintaining that restoring the ailing economy should be the priority of all the stakeholders of the society, COAS noted that there could be no diplomacy sans a strong economy.
