Coronavirus: KP govt shuts down public places

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to shut public places including (markets, shopping malls and restaurants) from today (Sunday 22nd of March, 2020) 9am to March 24 in order to contain the transmission of COVID-19.

Restaurants and eateries will be allowed to deliver food at home only. However, pharmacies, grocery stores, karyana shops, bakeries, atta chakkies, tandoors, milk shops, auto workshops and petrol pumps, chicken and meat shops, fruit and vegetable shops and all kinds of mandis including grain, fruit and vegetable will be allowed to carry on their business as routine.
