Coronavirus: Was PM’s Advisor Dr. Zafar Mirza involved in smuggling of 20m masks?

ISLAMABAD: Sources have revealed that FIA has commenced an investigation in order to ascertain whether Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza was involved in smuggling of 20 million masks abroad when citizens of Pakistan needed that to combat Coronavirus.

According to details a complaint has been lodged by Dr. Furqan Ibrahim, Secretary General of Young Pharmacists’ Association with the Prime Minister’s Complaint Cell accusing Dr. Zafar Mirza of smuggling 20 million masks out of Pakistan allegedly in collusion with Deputy Director Ghazanfar Ali Khan, an aide of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan.

FIA’s Director Islamabad Zone has been tasked to probe the allegation and submit a report within 15 days.
