Corps Commanders confer military awards to soldiers

RAWALPINDI: An Investiture Ceremony was held here at GHQ Auditorium today (6th Sept) during which Corps Commander Rawalpindi, Lt. Gen. Khalid Nawaz Khan conferred military awards on Army Officers and soldiers.

According to details 80 Officers were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), 71 Officers were awarded Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 36 Soldiers were awarded Sitara-i-Basalat. High-ranking military officers and families of the recipients attended the event.

In Peshawar too the Corps Commander Lt. Gen Nauman Mahmood conferred military awards to officers and soldiers in Cantt area.

Overall 9 Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), 22 Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 35 Tamgha-i-Basalat were conferred to officers and soldiers. Awards of Shahuada were received by their relatives.

The ceremony was attended by serving Army officers and families of the shuhada. Earlier, Lieutenant General Nauman Mahmood laid floral wreath at Yaadgar-i-Shahuda and prayed for the martyrs.
