Court issues order regarding transit remand of Swati

ISLAMABAD: Judicial Magistrate Shabbir Bhatti on Friday (2nd of December, 2022) issued an order here apropos grant of three-day transit remand to PTI’s Khan Swati.

Police has been directed by the magistrate to produce Azam Swati before concerned Quetta Court on Sunday 4th of December, 2022.

The Magistrate noted that due to security concerns Senator Azam Swati was not produced before his court and his attendance was marked online.

A number of FIRs had been registered against Swati on his anti-Army Tweets.

Commenting on the development PTI supremo Imran Khan Tweeted: “The vengeful manner in which Senator Swati is being treated is shocking & condemnable.

“He was moved to PIMS early morning after suffering severe chest pains & breathing issues.

“While test results were awaited, Quetta police got him discharged & took him away endangering his life

“Equally outrageous is what is being considered such a great crime would in entire civilized world be considered his democratic right to criticize.

“He must be released immediately. Sad to see our justice system unwilling to stop repeated violations of Swati’s basic human rights.”
