ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court (AC) Tuesday directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to submit progress report regarding filing of supplementary reference in Sindh Bank graft case.
AC-II Judge Muhammad Azam Khan conducted hearing on the reference pertaining to the loss of Rs 25 billions to the Sindh Bank, a matter connected with fake accounts scam. Former president Sindh Bank Bilal Sheikh appeared before the court.
At the outset of hearing, NAB prosecutor Usman Mirza informed the court that supplementary reference was in preparation stage and it would be filed as soon as it was approved.
After this, the court adjourned hearing on the case till December 3, with above instructions.
Meanwhile, the same court sought arguments from acquittal pleas of the accused in a reference pertaining to illegal allotment of Nahr Khayam plots in Karachi. The court adjourned the case till December 2.
