COVID-19: CM Sindh says local transmission wrecking havoc in Kr.

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has expressed his concern at the local transmission of Coronavirus in Sindh, particularly in the slums of the Port City.

Commenting on the new cases recorded on Monday 20th of April the CM stated: “As many as 71 cases emerged in other divisions of the province, but local transmission has started wreaking havoc in the city (of Karachi)”.

It is pertinent to mention here that on Monday 156 new coronavirus cases were reported in the Metropolis. CMS Shah expressing alarm has directed the concerned authorities to augment testing for the virus in Covid-19 hotspots.

According to details on Monday 68 locally transmitted cases emerged in South district, 65 in East, 31 in Central, 23 in Korangi, five in West and four in Malir.
