COVID-19: No marriage functions beyond 5th April

KARACHI: Provincial Govt of Sindh has proclaimed here on 31st of March, 2021 that due to augmenting cases of COVID-19, no marriage functions (both indoors and outdoors) will be allowed from 6th April, till 11th April.

Sindh Govt. has made it clear that due to the unbridled propagation of the third wave of COVID-19, severe lockdowns will be imposed in areas with 8% coronavirus positivity ratios.

Moreover, indoor dining at eateries will not be permitted. Dining in the open will  be allowed till 10pm.  People will be able to take the food from restaurants; home delivery will also be allowed.

Markets and shopping malls will operate from 6am to 8pm for business and commercial activities. However, medical stores, clinics, hospitals, petrol pumps, bakeries, milk shops and restaurants etc. will be given relaxation.

Provincial government has also banned social/political gatherings, concerts,  sports events as well as religious festivals etc. Citoyens will be able to walk/jog on the tracks and visit amusement parks with strict adherence to COVID-19 SOPs.

50% people in offices will work from home. Similarly, public transports will be allowed to operate at 50% capacity. Meanwhile, NCOC has decided to impose during a special session held on 28th day of March, 2021: “Complete ban on marriages (including indoor & Outdoor) from 5th April onwards.

“However, provinces will be at liberty to implement restrictions in early time frame as per the situation on ground.NCOC will provide updated hotspot maps to Provinces for enforcement of Expanded lockdowns with effect from 29th March 21. All kind of gatherings (indoor / outdoor) will be banned with immediate effect.
