COVID-19 strikes yet again: PTI’s Shahid Gondal passes away

RAWALPINDI: PTI activist Shahid Gondal, passed away due to coronavirus here on 30th of Jan.

According to details Chairman of the Insaf Lawyers Wing (Chief Legal Advisor CDA)  Advocate Shahid Naseem Gondal, who tested positive for COVID-19 in the month of Dec., was being treated at the Military Hospital here but expired due to complications arising from the mysterious respiratory malady.

Chairman PTI, PM Imran Khan took to the Twitter to state: “Saddened to learn of Shahid Gondal’s passing. He was one of our most loyal workers who stood with us during our struggle against the political mafias. My condolences & prayers go to his family.”

Shah Mahmood Qureshi stated: “Greatly saddened by the demise of Shahid Gondal. A selfless committed PTI worker, who stood by party in challenging times. His contribution & memory will remain with us forever. May Allah bless him with Jannat & give sabr to his family.”

Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari wrote: “Sad news. Our long time Insaf lawyer Shahid Gondal, who stood by PTI and all our workers, esp fighting their dharna cases, died of COVID 19.”

Former Law Minister also took to the Twitter to express his grief: “The passing of Shahid Naseem Gondal is a great loss for PTI. My sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones. May Allah bless the departed soul and give patience to the bereaved family.”
