Cricket: India lifts 8th Asia Cup beating S. Lanka

COLOMBO: India have won final of Asia up 2023 beating Sri Lanka by 10 wickets here today (17th of September, 2023).

Batting first, Sri Lanka were all out at 50 runs in just 15.2 overs.

In reply, India achieved the victory target only in 6.1 overs without any loss.

India have won the title for eighth time.

For India, Ishan Kishan with 23 runs and Shubman Gill with 27 runs remained the main scorers.

Mohammed Siraj of India, who secured six wickets, was declared Player of the match, while Kuldeep Yadav remained Player of the Series.

This is the lowest total in the history of Asia Cup (ODI)  since the record was previously held by Bangladesh, who scored 87 runs against Pakistan back in 2000.
