CTD kills five terrorists in Bahawalpur shootout

LAHORE: Five terrorists have been killed in an encounter by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) near Bahawalpur city of Punjab, sources said.

According to a spokesman, as commandos surrounded the area, terrorists opened fire from inside a house. In retaliation, five of them were killed.

“The terrorists belong to banned outfit,” he said.

CTD also claimed to have recovered ammunition from their custody.

The dead bodies have been shifted to Victoria hospital.
