CWC 2019: Australia posts 335-run target against Sri Lanka

THE OVAL: Captain Aaron Finch’s thrilling batting helped Australia to post a 335-run target against Sri Lanka in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 match today.

Fantastic innings by Aaron Finch and Smith was sublime as well for his 71. Glenn Maxwell flourish at the end ensures Australia get to 334 at the end. Australia will be extremely satisfied, they have defended targets brilliantly in the World Cup and are definitely in the box seat.

No team has chased that much big score here at The Oval. The highest successful run chase here is 322 during the Champions Trophy in 2017. Sri Lanka have to beat their own record if they were to win here.
