SHIKARPUR (SINDH): A ceremony was held here to facilitate seventy-two dacoits (including a number of most-wanted criminals, with combined head money of rupees sixty million) from the riverine (katcha) area of Sindh, lay down their weapons on Wednesday during a surrender ceremony held at Police Lines in Shikarpur.

The surrendered weapons included Klashnikovs, rocket launchers and anti-aircraft guns

It is pertinent to mention here that just a day earlier the provincial Home Department had issued its surrender policy for miscreants operating in the riverine areas of Sukkur and Larkana divisions.
