SANA MAHMOOD

PESHAWAR: Overruling Kohistan Sessions order (apropos Kohistani dancers murder) Peshawar High Court has ordered release of six men accused of killing three brothers.

Earlier the Sessions Court has sentenced an accused to death and incarcerated five others. They were accused of involvement in the killing of three brothers.

Those murdered (Shah Faisal, Rafiullah and Sherwali) in January 2013 have been filmed dancing and singing at a marriage along with four girls back in 2012.

This act is reckoned as a taboo in that society.

Video was leaked to media by Muhammad Afzal Kohistani, the 4th brother of those murdered.

His intention was to express fear that they would be killed by the relatives of women for dancing and singing against the social norms.
