Daniel Pearl Murder Case: SC orders release of prime accused Omar Sheikh

ISLAMABAD: SCP has today dismissed Sindh Govt.’s appeal against SHC order and directed authorities to release Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, the prime accused in 2002 murder case of WSJ’s Daniel Pearl. 

A three-judge SC bench headed by Justice Mushir Alam issued the short order. One member of the bench opposed the decision.

According to the attorney of the accused: “The court has come out to say that there is no offence that he has committed in this case.”
