Dar calls for curbing cross border smuggling

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has asked the relevant authorities to devise a robust and proactive roadmap to curb the cross border smuggling of various items in order to bring economic and financial stability in the country.

Chairing an inter-ministerial meeting on economic situation in Islamabad on Friday, he stressed for coordination amongst all necessary platforms for this purpose.

The meeting reviewed economic situation and discussed measures to strengthen anti-smuggling regime.

The participants appreciated the Finance Minister for taking appropriate and active measures to tackle the current economic situation and ensured their support for ensuring smooth and sustainable growth.
