Questions rising on the performance of security agencies, says Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said it was very ‘unfortunate’ that security agencies were not able to protect the sensitive installations.

“If they [agencies] could not secure sensitive installations like Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), then questions would be raised on their performance,” Nisar said in his address to the workers of POF at Wah Cantt.

Chaudhry Nisar was advised to skip his visit to the area over a security threat. However, he said that he will visit and address the workers no matter what happens as he had made a commitment to POF workers to express solidarity with them on International Labour Day.

“I was informed that there were serious threats of a suicide attack over here. I said if a POF’s worker is not secure, then the safety of three [federal] ministers is also in the hands of Allah. We will visit the POF under any circumstances,” the federal minister asserted.
