WASHINGTON: US airline Delta will offer $30,000 to each passenger on a plane that crashed as it landed at Toronto airport this week.
Delta‘s subsidiary Endeavor Air‘s 16-year-old Bombardier CRJ900, harboring 76 voyagers and 4 crew, arriving from Minneapolis, crashed upside down on the snow-covered runway here 8th Feb, 2025.
Taking to the X, airport authorities stated: “Toronto Pearson is aware of an incident upon landing involving a Delta Airlines plane arriving from Minneapolis. Emergency teams are responding. All passengers and crew are accounted for.”
According to Delta Air Lines: “Initial reports indicate there are no fatalities and 18 customers with injuries have been transported to area hospitals. Our primary focus is taking care of those impacted.”
Peel Regional Police informed that one of the 8 passengers injured was in critical (but not life-threatening) condition, while the remaining 7 sustained mild to moderate injuries.
