ECP directs voters of merged areas to register their votes

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday directed the voters of the merged areas (ex-FATA) to get register their votes in the electoral list by May 6, 2019 in their respective areas.

The spokesperson of the ECP clarified that the electoral lists would be freeze after May 6, 2019 and no alternation would be made in it after the expiry of the deadline.

The ECP has completed the review of electoral list of KP assembly constituencies from PK-100 to PK-115 of merged areas.

The Commission would issue the elections schedule for merged district seats from PK-100 to PK-115 of the provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on May 6.

According to ECP laws, voter can register their vote as per permanent and temporary address mentioned in national identity card.
