ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has reserved the judgment in the contempt of court petition against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan till August 10.

The ECP reserved its verdict on the PTI’s petition challenging the institution’s jurisdiction to hear contempt proceedings.

The verdict was reserved by the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) retired Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan who wrapped up the hearing after the arguments by Imran Khan’s Counsel Babar Awan and Akbar S. Babar’s counsel.

It should be mentioned here that the ECP had issued the contempt notice to Imran Khan on January 24 over his remarks about the commission.
