Eid Milad-un-Nabi is being celebrated today (19th of Oct) with religious fervor

ISLAMABAD: Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, a day of spiritual significance in Islam, is being celebrated today (19th of Oct) with a traditional zeal and fervor, renewing the pledge to transform lives in line with the Islamic principles and  teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The day (a public holiday) would dawn with a 31 and 21 gun salute in the federal and provincial capitals, respectively. Special prayers would be offered for the progress of the Muslim Ummah. Federal and provincial governments have enormously deployed LEAs personnel to ensure the safety of processions all over the country.

PM Imran Khan took to the Twitter to state: “We will be celebrating the birthday of our Prophet PBUH – Eid -e-Milad-un-Nabi – in a befitting manner across the country. Tomorrow morning President Alvi will be hosting an event & in the afternoon I will be celebrating the auspicious day at the Convention Center.”

President Dr. Arif Alvi in his message on this occasion has stated that obedience of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was the key to success in this world and the hereafter: “Allah Almighty sent you (PBUH) as Rehmatallil Alameen. Your (PBUH) obedience is the key to success in both the worlds. Love with Hazoor (PBUH) is part of the faith of every Muslim.

“Holy Prophet (PBUH) made the tribes, who were fighting for decades, part of the welfare state of Madina,” he added. He pointed out that Holy Prophet (PBUH) eliminated tribalism and established a society based on universal equality, brotherhood and justice and equity. “Holy Prophet (PBUH) established an Ummah and nation without any prejudice of color, creed, family, language and country,” he added.

Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif, speaking at the National Assembly, held that the life of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was a role model for all those who believed in Allah and the Day of Judgment.
