Eloquence competition held at Urdu University

KARACHI: A discussion (muzakra) was organized here at the Federal Urdu University (Abdul Haq Campus’) Dept of Urdu on Saturday (3rd of December, 2022).

KARACHI: Faculty members addressed the audience. Speeches were delivered on a number of topics such as: ‘Urdu moving on the path of development’, ‘Social Media has widened the distances’, ‘The colors of universe is due to the presence of women’, ‘Beauty dominates intelligence’, ‘Crime is increasing due to poverty’.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Kamal Haider noted that such activities were the best source of providing knowledge to students. He maintained that eloquence competitions also boost students’ level of confidence.

President Urdu Department, Dr. Yasmin Sultana, while encouraging the congratulated the participating students and the Dept that had organized the event.

She thanked Dr. Masroor Khanum, Dr. Kamal Haider and Dr. Abida Ghangru for performing the duties of arbitrator.  Malik Anwar convened the program.

Dr. Masroor Khanum, Dr. Abida Ghangru and Sharmeen Ansari also addressed the ladies and gentlemen in the audience.

Students who got first, second and third positions in the eloquence competition were awarded commemorative shields.
