HYDERABAD: An explosion in an illegally established fireworks factory killed 10 on Saturday (15th Nov, 2025) here on the banks of Laghari Goth River.
Hyderabad Assistant Commissioner Saud Lund, while talking to NPTV, informed that fireworks were being fabricated clandestinely in the room. The ceiling and boundary walls collapsed on women and children working there due to blast, killing 10 and injuring seven more gravely.
Following the explosion and the resultant seven deaths, district administration, police and civil defence personnel here have synergized their resources. They have launched a campaign against fireworks manufacturers, warehouses and outlets.
Authorities, during the raids, seized firecrackers from the shops located at Liaquat Colony and sealed them. But operators of the illegal set-ups bolted from the scene and are still at large.
