Fawad Chaudhry replaces Naeemul Haq as PTI spokesperson

KARACHI: Fawad Chaudhry has been appointed as Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson after the party announced on Wednesday that it has removed Naeemul Haq as the party’s media person.

According to a PTI official, the decision was taken after Haq’s statement regarding Benazir Bhutto caused a huge embarrassment to the party.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly reacted to Naeemul Haq’s statement in which he drew parallel between Qatari prince’s letter to Supreme Court with Benazir Bhutto’s will.

Bilawal said that PML-N and PTI are still attacking Benazir a decade after her martyrdom. He urged PPP leaders to remain calm, saying let the opponents do politics.

Haq, however, denied issued any statement, saying it was a conspiracy against him.

“I have not issued any statement equating Qatari letter with the will of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. PPP reaction in this regard is puzzling,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
